Introducing map commenting in Birdi

Sharing feedback on maps has often meant exporting images, attaching them to emails, and hoping the right context carries through. It’s workable, but it slows teams down.
With Birdi’s new map commenting tool, that process becomes much simpler. Comments, questions, and feedback now live directly inside the Map View, right where the data is.
How map commenting works

The commenting tool can be opened from the taskbar in your map view. From there, it’s easy to:
- Drop a comment anywhere on the map, giving context exactly where it’s needed.
- Tag a team member with @ mentions so they’re notified straight away.
- Track all discussion in a notification panel that shows every comment and its history in one place.
When comments are resolved, they can be marked complete or deleted, keeping the map clear and up to date.
Staying in control
Collaboration doesn’t have to mean clutter. The comment tool includes options to:
- Filter to unread comments.
- Hide all comments for a distraction-free view.
- Click a comment to zoom straight to its location on the map.
Over on the Birdi dashboard, a new comment widget provides a quick overview of recent activity across projects, so teams stay aligned even when they’re not working inside the map.

Bringing the right people in
Comments can be directed to anyone in your Birdi workspace. If additional collaborators are needed, they can be added through the + Invite a team member option on the dashboard before being tagged in a map comment.
Why map commenting matters
By keeping discussions tied to the exact location on the map, teams reduce back-and-forth and speed up decision-making. There’s no risk of misplacing feedback or working from outdated screenshots—everything happens in one shared space.
Commenting is now available in the Map View. Log in to try it out and see how much easier collaboration can be when conversations happen directly on the map.
